THE WUHU BIRTHDAY BLOW OUT GIVEAWAY - TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

  1. The promoter is Unilever South Africa (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”). 
  2. The promotional competition is open to all South African residents purchasing their Wuhu Unilever coupon through the Wuhu website only. Coupons are currently not available on the Wuhu App.
  3. The promotional competition is not open to any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter, the marketing service providers or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members.
  4. Any participant under the age of 18 years must be fully assisted by his/her guardian, who approves of and consents to the participant’s participation in the competition and the participant’s receipt/possession of the prize. 
  5. By participating in this competition participants agree to receive future marketing material from the brand/s on promotion.   However, the participant has the right to unsubscribe to receiving marketing material or request the promoter to delete their information by contacting the Promoter at 15 Nollsworth Crescent, Nollsworth Park, La Lucia, 4051 Att: Legal Department or opting out from any electronic marketing message.
  6. All personal information (‘Personal Data’) supplied by participants shall be processed in accordance with South African data protection legislation and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy.
  7. This promotional competition is open from 22nd  June 2022 and ends at 12am (midnight) on 31 July 2022. Any entries received after the closing date will not be considered.

 

ENTRY REQUIRMENTS

 

  1. To enter, participants will be required to sign up to Wuhu (if not already a member) and purchase a Wuhu Unilever coupon through the rewards store.
  2. Participants must ensure they use correct contact details on the sign up form. If a Winner has given incorrect contact details, the Promoter reserves the right to select another Winner in terms of the rules.
  3. Entrants stand a chance to win 1 of 5xR1000 grocery vouchers to be used at any Shoprite/Checkers Hyper stores.
  4. Any prize not taken up by selected winners will be forfeited.
  5. Prizes are not exchangeable for cash or transferable.

 

SELECTING WINNERS

 

 

  1. The Winner will be selected by means of a random draw that takes place on the 12th of August. The winner will be notified via email or telephone and will need to confirm acceptance of the prize. The Promoter (or their agent) will endeavour to contact the prize Winner once every day for 3 consecutive working days after their name is drawn.  If the Prize Winner cannot be contacted during this period, the Prize will be forfeited and another Winner will be selected in accordance with the rules.

 

DELIVERY OF PRIZE

  • The winners wallet will be updated with the voucher once winner has accepted the prize.

  3. The Promoter shall not be responsible for the failure of any technical element relating to this promotion that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.
  4. Responsibility is not accepted for entries lost, damaged or delayed as a result of any network, computer or cell phone hardware or software failure of any kind.  Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
  5. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any claim if fraud or cheating is suspected, including without limitation, through the manipulation of code or otherwise frequently falsifying data.
  6. No applications from agents, third parties, organised groups or applications automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.
  7. NOTE: Any attempt to use multiple e-mail, cell phone or Facebook accounts or other tactics to enter or vote more than the stated limit may result in disqualification and all associated entries and/or votes will be void. Entries or votes generated by script, macro, bot, commercial contest subscription, incentives or other means not sponsored by the Promoter, vote-swapping sites, voting software, entering service sites or any other automated means and entries or votes by any means that subvert the entry/voting process or do not conform to the terms or spirit of these competition rules, will void the entry/votes and may disqualify the entrant.
  8. The prize is not exchangeable for cash and is not transferrable.
  9. The Promoter reserves the right to use the images taken of the Winner for publicity purposes in any manner they deem fit, without remuneration being made payable to the Winner.  However, the Winner has the right to object to these images being used by written notification to the Promoter at 15 Nollsworth Crescent, Nollsworth Park, La Lucia, 4051 Att: Legal Department.
  10. The Promoter shall have the right to change or terminate the promotional competition immediately and without notice, if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances arise outside of their control.  In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents.
  11. In the event that the Prize is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize of equal value.
  12. Neither the Promoter, its agents, its associated companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participant or the Winner.
  13. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Black Friday & Holiday Season

 

Wuhu Black Friday & December Holiday Season Spin & Win Competition - Terms and Conditions .

  1. The Promoter is Unilever South Africa Proprietary Limited ( “the Promoter”).
  2. This Promotional competition is open to all South African residents who are in possession of a valid identity document, except any employee, director, officer, member, partner, agent, consultant, advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, supplier, affiliates and/or associated companies of the Promoter or any person who controls or is controlled, directly or indirectly, by the Promoter and/or immediate family members of the aforesaid people (hereinafter referred to as “Disqualified Persons”).
  3. Any participant under the age of 18 years must be fully assisted by his/her legal guardian at all times, who approves of, and consents to the participant taking part in the competition and the participant’s possession/receipt of the prize.
  4. This promotional competition runs from 04 November 2021 to 31 December 2021 (the “Closing Date”). Any entries received after the Closing Date will not be considered.
  5. To enter, existing Wuhu members are required to purchase products from participating retailers, scan their till slip and spin the wheel to stand a chance to win prizes up to the value of R50 000.
  6. To enter, new Wuhu members are required to sign up to Wuhu on the website (at wuhu.co.za), purchase products from participating retailers, scan their till slip and spin the wheel to stand a chance to win prizes up to the value of R50 000.
  7. Due to different device view, the prize pop up confirmation once spin is complete will determine actual prize won on the spinning wheel. Should pop not appear, points will not be allocated. Should pop-up and spin and win landing visual differ, user will be awarded based on the pop-up message.
  8. The competition is only valid on the Wuhu website (www.wuhu.co.za) and not on the Wuhu Apps (Apple or Android).
  9. Apple is not a sponsor of Wuhu or any affiliated Wuhu campaign.
  10. New Wuhu members will only receive 1x free spin upon sign up.
  11. New and existing Wuhu members may only scan x1 valid till slip per day to participate in the competition.
  12. The consumer can stand a chance to win a share of up to R50 000 in prizes.
  13. These prizes vary from Wuhu points to Takealot vouchers. Prizes and points will reflect directly on Wuhu profiles.
  14. All consumers who successfully participate in the spin and win wheel will also automatically be entered into a draw to stand a chance to win 1 of 3 Takealot vouchers valued between R4 000 and R10 000.
  15. Finalists for the lucky draw will be randomly selected in January 2022.
  16. All participants submitting entries must have their details entered in all the required fields correctly.
  17. The Promoter reserves the right to change the draw date at any time.

    a. Spin & Win wheel: Share of R28 000 in Wuhu points or Takealot vouchers. Takealot vouchers will no longer be available on the spinning wheel as of 8 Nov however Wuhu points will still be available on the spinning wheel as of 31 December 2021 and point values will be adjusted at the discretion on the promoter.
    b. Lucky Draw: 1 of 3 Takealot vouchers (R4 000, R8 000 andR10 000)

By entering the promotional competition, all participants and winners agree to be bound by these rules which will be interpreted by the Promoter, whose decision regarding any dispute will be final and binding. The Promoter reserves the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel the promotional competition and any prizes (which have not yet been subject to a draw), or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason which the Promoter deems reasonably necessary.
  21. Entries which are unclear, illegible or contain errors or from Disqualified Persons will be declared invalid.
  22. The winners will be selected by means of a random draw and will be notified telephonically or via social media upon which they will be required to verify their details and provide identification. The organizers will endeavour to contact the prize winners once every day for 2 consecutive working days after their name is drawn. Once the prize has been received, the winners will be required to complete and sign a receipt of prize document (CPA). However, if they cannot be reached and do not return the call, the person/s will be disqualified, the prize will be forfeited and another winner will be selected in accordance with these rules.
  23. The prize is not exchangeable for cash and is not transferable. The Promoter is not liable for any defect in the prize. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes with any other prize of comparable commercial value or the cash equivalent, as determined by the Promoter.
  24. If any taxes, levies, duties or any charges whatsoever are levied on a prize by any competent authority, the winner will be liable for these and the prize value will not be increased to compensate for such charges.
  25. The Promoter reserves the right to use any images taken of the winner for publicity purposes in any manner they deem fit, without any further remuneration being made payable to the winner, and may require the winner to be identified, photographed and published in printed media, or to appear on radio and television, when accepting his/her prize and/or after having received his/her prize. However, the winner has the right to object to these images being used and must formally notify the Promoter, in writing, of such objection, after being informed that he/she is the winner.
  26. In the event that the prize/s are/is not available despite the Promoter’s reasonable endeavours to procure the prize, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute prizes of comparable commercial value or the cash equivalent.
  27. All participants and the winners, as the case may be, indemnify the Promoter, its advertising agencies, advisers, nominated agents, suppliers, affiliates and/or associated companies against any and all claims of any nature whatsoever arising out of and/or from their participation in any way howsoever in the promotional competition (including, as a result of any act or omission, whether as a result of negligence, misrepresentation, misconduct or otherwise on the part of the Promoters and/or use of the prize).
  28. The Promoter assumes no liability whatsoever for any entry that has been omitted from participation for any reason whatsoever.
  29. The Promoter is not liable for any technical failures affecting the participation and/or prize redemption process of the promotional competition.
  30. Neither the Promoter nor employee, director, officer, member, partner, agent, consultant, advertising agencies, advisers, dealers, supplier, affiliates and/or associated companies of the Promoter shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by the participant.
  31. The Promoter will require the winners to complete and submit an information disclosure agreement and indemnification document to enable the Promoter to ensure compliance with these rules and the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Should any winner refuse or be unable to comply with this rule for any reason, such winner will be deemed to have rejected the prize and it shall revert back to the Promoter to select another winner.
  32. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
