Wuhu Terms and Conditions

  1. Access to and use of this Unilever Platform is subject to the following terms and conditions and the laws of the Republic of South Africa. "Platforms" means our website at www.wuhu.co.za and all our websites, mobile sites, mobile apps, social media platforms or any other technology or mechanism you may use to interact with us.

 

  1. These terms and conditions together with our Privacy Notice, Cookie Notice and other terms on our Platforms (collectively, the "Terms") will form a written contract between you and Unilever South Africa Proprietary Limited ("Unilever", "we", "us" and "our") and will govern our relationship and your use of our Platforms.

 

  1. Unilever is part of the Unilever Group. A Unilever Group company is any company in which Unilever PLC or Unilever NV and either or both together directly or indirectly owns or controls the voting rights attaching to not less than 50% of the issued share capital, or controls the appointment of a majority of the board of management.

 

  1. We may amend the Terms from time to time. Any new version of the Terms will be published on the relevant Platform and will become effective from the date that we first published it. It is your obligation to visit our Platforms on a regular basis in order to determine whether any amendments have been made. By continuing to use our Platforms after we published changes to the Terms, you agree to be bound by the changed Terms.

 

HOW IT WORKS

 

  1. Wuhu is a loyalty program that turns till slips into cashback. When you buy participating products or complete missions and scan your valid, authentic grocery slip, you get Wuhu points in your wallet to spend on voucher rewards.
  2. It is free to belong to this platform.
  3. Wuhu is part of the Unilever South Africa family.
  4. In order to join Wuhu you will:
  5. Login using web or app by using your cell phone number and create a secure password. If you had an existing account for Wuhu Deals you can login using the same cell phone number and password.
  6. Comply with the terms.
  7. Apple is not a sponsor of Wuhu or any affiliated Wuhu campaign.
  8. You will be responsible for all activities occurring under your Profile and for keeping your profile secure. If you become aware of any breach of security or unauthorised use of your profile, you must notify Unilever immediately by calling our Consumer Call Centre on 0860572908 or emailing  consumer.affairs-za@unilever.com
  9. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering and using this Platform and you agree to keep your information up to date in order to benefit from the cashback and rewards.
  10. Only one account may be created per person. ID number may be requested to qualify for certain rewards.
  11. One user account is permitted per mobile number and/or email. We require a verification link to be clicked via email or OTP received via phone and used in order to complete registration
  12. Till slips may not be tampered with
  13. Members must be over 18.

 

TILL SLIP SCANNING

 

  1. To scan your slip (web and app) simply follow steps below;
    1. Login
    2. Press the purple scan icon
    3. Upload a Jpeg or Png file or take a photo of a valid grocery till slip that is flat, brightly lit and showing all details, from top to bottom.
    4. Please note that .pdf and html invoices cannot yet be analysed so we cannot accept ecommerce receipts.
    5. We’ll let you know if you have earned points in less than 30 minutes.

 

  1. Till slips must be no older than 14 calendar days from the date of your shop.

 

  1. We will accept only 2 till slips per date, we use the date shown on the till slips and not the date the slips are scanned in.

 

  1. We will only accept 4 of the same type of product to reward, on the same shopping date, per till slip.

 

  1. We need to be able to read all elements on the till slip clearly, from top to bottom, including the invoice number and date.

 

  1. Till slips are only valid if from one of the selected retailers

 

  1. Till slips can only be scanned once, by any member.

 

  1. Till slips cannot be changed in any way.

 

  1. Unilever reserves the right as to whether or not to accept the validity of a till slip. Unilever can disqualify any till slip for whatever reason it deems valid.

 

MISSIONS

 

  1. These are activities you can complete to earn more points.

 

  1. Wuhu will share suggested Missions for you which will be sent to you via notification and be visible when you are exploring in Wuhu.

 

  1. Missions vary – you may need to buy something, watch something, upload something or visit a different part of Wuhu to complete your Mission and earn points and Badges. Make sure to read the Mission description.

 

  1. Unilever reserves the right as to whether or not to accept the validity of mission activity on the platform. Unilever can disqualify any activity for whatever reason it deems valid.

 

 

 

 

STAMP CARDS

 

  1. Stamp Cards are just like the ones you used to keep in your wallet – but digital!

 

  1. Your stamp card will be updated with new stamp/s after you scan in your latest valid till slip/s. Just click on the Stamps icon to check how many more you need to buy before you get rewarded. If the till slip description isn’t clear you may need to help us out with pics of the product and its barcode to get your stamps.

 

  1. Wuhu will activate a variety of stamp cards for selected time periods. If you don’t want to participate you can choose to skip the offered stamp card.

 

  1. Every stamp card will be unique – after you have bought a certain number or value of selected, specific, valid products the cashback will be allocated to your Wuhu wallet.

 

  1. Unilever reserves the right as to whether or not to accept the validity of stamp card activity on the platform. Unilever can disqualify any activity for whatever reason it deems valid.

 

 

 POINTS, ALSO KNOWN AS CASHBACK

 

  1. All the cashback you earn from your till slips, participating product purchases, Stamp Cards or Missions will be stored in your Wuhu wallet. You can always see the balance in the top right-hand corner as Rands and Points.

 

  1. Points are awarded for:
  2. Scanning Valid Till Slips (see Selected Retailers at the end of the terms and conditions), and will only be awarded for a maximum of 10 slips per member per month.

  3. Valid Products (see Participating Products at the end of the terms and conditions)

  4. Completed Missions
  5. Completed Stamp Cards
  6. Referring Wuhu to friends and family and ensuring that they scan a valid till slip.

 

  1. Points expire 12 months from Earn Date.

 

  1. Points expire after 6 months if no till slip has been scanned in this time.

 

  1. Points will expire immediately if the account is deactivated for any reason.

 

  1. Members can earn maximum of 1500 points monthly from UL purchases.

 

  1. Members can earn a maximum of 1000 points monthly from non-transactional actions and rewards.

 

  1. Points are not transferrable.

 

  1. Points balances may be changed at our discretion, in line with the Terms. Unilever does not warrant that your Points balance will always be correct.

 

  1. Points may only be exchanged for the Rewards in the Rewards Store by the member who earned them.

 

  1. Missing Points: There will be times when Unilever products do not have the brand name on the till slip or the technology has missed the brand. In these cases, please:
    • Take a pic of slip and then a pic of the barcode of the product we missed. Email these plus the name of the missed product and your cell phone number to consumer.affairs-za@unilever.com or send us a message via social media (not public post, to protect your privacy).
    • We’ll investigate your query and get back to you in 3 business days.

 

  1. All queries for missing points will be dealt with in terms of our pre-defined evaluation process. The process is designed to evaluate any requests for the allocation of missing points and come to a decision. The purpose of our process is to detect any discrepancies, with a view to rectifying them as well as to prevent any possible fraud. This is designed to ultimately safeguard Wuhu’s interests. Once our evaluation process is complete, the decision to accept or reject the missing points is final. This decision is within our sole discretion and our decision will be final. We will not enter into further correspondence relating to our decision.

 

REWARDS

Coupons:

Coupons are only currently available for purchase on the website and not available on the Wuhu App.

 

You can spend your Wuhu points on any of the coupons of your choice in the Wuhu Rewards Store.

 

Rewarded coupons will be issued automatically, and points will be deducted instantly from your Wuhu profile.

You can only purchase one coupon per offer in a month

 

You are allowed to purchase more than one coupon as long as you have sufficient points to do so and the offer is different in a month.

 

Rewarded coupon codes will appear in “My Wallet” and will also be SMSed to you.

 

Once you have exchanged your points for a coupon, the coupon is not returnable, and the points cannot be refunded.

 

Once you have received the SMS and/or clicked on the coupon you have purchased and revealed the code it becomes your responsibility to keep the code safe and use it within the specified validity period.

 

Coupon codes can be redeemed instore and are valid for a once off purchase on the specified product only.

 

A coupon’s validity period is specified on the coupon in “My Wallet” and on the SMS and it cannot be redeemed once expired.

 

Coupons can only be used in participating retailers where the product is available, while stocks last.

 

Expired coupons cannot be refunded or replaced.

 

Partially used coupons cannot be refunded or replaced.

 

Malfunctioning coupon codes can be queried during South African standard business hours, on working days by texting “help” to 30172 or emailing consumer.affairs-za@unilever.com

 

Unilever does not accept any liability or responsibility for any malfunctioning coupons.

Unilever does not accept any liability or responsibility for the availability of change of stock in the participating retailers.

 

Vouchers:

  1. You can spend your cashback on any of the voucher or donation options in the Wuhu Rewards Store. Explore all options in the Rewards Store on the platform.

 

  1. Reward vouchers will appear in My Wallet. To see the unique voucher code click on Reveal Code. Please check Voucher terms in detail to redeem at the variety of suppliers.

 

  1. Once you have exchanged your points for a Reward, the voucher is not returnable, and the points cannot be refunded.

 

  1. Reward vouchers will be issued once the Wuhu team has verified the points earning transactions. This may take up to 3 business days depending on the volume of consumer queries and requests in the system.

 

  1. Once you have clicked on the Voucher you have purchased and revealed the code it becomes your responsibility to keep the code safe and use it within the terms (specified below) and validity period specified on the voucher.

 

  1. Expired vouchers cannot be refunded or replaced.

 

  1. Partially used vouchers cannot be refunded or replaced.

 

  1. Gifted vouchers cannot be refunded or replaced.

  1. Unilever does not accept any liability or responsibility for any malfunctioning vouchers.

 

  1. Each voucher has unique terms. These terms could also change from time to time, without you being notified of the change.

 

  1.  Please ensure to consult the relevant Brand’s website to ensure that you are aware of the up to date terms and conditions for that Brand’s vouchers. Unilever shall not be held responsible for any changes or amendments to a Brand’s voucher terms, which result in a loss to the Member.

 

 

Reward Voucher Terms and Conditions

 

SORBET VOUCHER

  1. The voucher entitles the Consumer to a Sorbet voucher to the maximum value of R20 and/or R50, with the following conditions:     
    1. The voucher is valid for 12 (twelve) months from date of issue.
    2. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
    3. The remaining value of the voucher will stay on the voucher until redeemed.
    4. No cash balance will be given as change.
    5. The voucher value will remain until the balance is either depleted or the expiry date is reached, whichever occurs first.
    6. The voucher cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
    7. The voucher is redeemable for treatments and/or products up to the value of R20 and/or R50 loaded onto the gift card number.
    8. Excludes doctor’s treatments (Botox, fillers, and facial threads).
    9. The voucher is valid at any Sorbet Salon, Sorbet Drybar, Sorbet Nail bar, Sorbet Man, Sorbet Skin venues or standalone Candi & Co. nationwide.
  2. How to use the voucher:
  3. Provide the voucher number shown on the Wuhu application in-store for redemption after selecting your products of choice or making your treatment booking.

 

 

 SUPERBALIST.COM VOUCHER

  1. The voucher entitles the Consumer to a Superbalist.com voucher to the maximum value of R100 and/or R200, with the following conditions:            
    1. The voucher is valid for 12 (twelve) months from date of issue.
    2. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
    3. The voucher can be used upon checkout or applied under your account.
    4. Any outstanding balance for orders placed online after the voucher has been applied can be settled using cash on delivery/collection as well as via credit or hybrid debit card at the time of checkout.
    5. No cash balance will be given as change.
    6. The voucher value will remain until the balance is either depleted or the expiry date is reached, whichever occurs first.
    7. The voucher cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
    8. The bearer of the voucher can only redeem one voucher per order.
    9. If the value of the purchase is more than the value of the voucher the consumer will be required to pay in the difference.
    10. Returns made on items purchased using wallet funds will be refunded directly into the Consumer’s Superbalist.com wallet to be used for future purchases.
  2. How to use the voucher:
  3. To redeem this reward the Consumer must visit www.superbalist.com or download the Superbalist.com application.
  4. Sign-up or login into your superbalist.com account.
  5. Add items to your cart.
  6. Enter the voucher as shown on the Wuhu application as form of payment.

 

 

SPUR VOUCHER

  1. The voucher entitles the Consumer to Spur vouchers up to the maximum value of R100 and/or R200, with the following conditions:       
    1. The voucher is valid for 12 (twelve) months from date of issue.
    2. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
    3. No cash balance will be given as change.
    4. The voucher cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
    5. A maximum of two Spur vouchers may be used per bill.
    6. Should the full value of an individual Spur voucher not be used on an order, the Consumer will forfeit the remaining value of the individual Spur voucher.
    7. Should the Spur order be more than the value of an individual Spur voucher, the Consumer will be required to pay in the difference of the cost.
    8. Any unused balance remaining three years after the issue of the Reward Voucher SMS will be forfeited.
  2. Should the Spur digital voucher be lost or stolen or misappropriated in any other manner whatsoever whilst in the possession of the Consumer, neither Spur Group nor its franchisees (“the franchisees”) will be liable to the Purchaser or the Consumer for any form of reimbursement or compensation of any nature whatsoever.

 

  1. Neither Spur Group nor any of its franchisees will be liable for any losses in the event that the Spur digital voucher cannot be utilised on any specific occasion for any reason arising out of any failure, malfunction or delay in any electronic device for any reason.

 

  1. The Consumer will be required to follow steps below to use the voucher:
    • Write down the voucher as (which was allocated to them on the Wuhu application) when settling the purchase price of such order and/or paying such gratuity; and
    • Indicate the portion of the purchase price of such order to be discharged utilising the Unique Code and/or the quantum of any gratuity that will be paid utilising the voucher.

 

 

UBER VOUCHER

  1. The voucher entitles the Consumer to Uber voucher up to the maximum value of R100 with the following conditions:       
    1. The voucher is valid for 12 (twelve) months date of issue.
    2. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash.
    3. No cash balance will be given as change.
    4. The voucher value will remain until the balance is either depleted or the expiry date is reached, whichever occurs first.
    5. The voucher cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
    6. The voucher cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
    7. Should the full value of the individual Uber ride voucher not be used on a single Uber ride, the Consumer will forfeit the reaming value of the individual Uber ride voucher.  

 

  1. All Uber rides need to be booked via the Uber app.

 

  1. Uber vouchers are subject to Uber’s regular Terms and Conditions, which are subject to change, unless otherwise specified in this section

 

SHOPRITE & CHECKERS VOUCHER

 

  1. The voucher entitles the Consumer to Shoprite & Checkers vouchers up to the maximum value of R50 and/or R100, with the following conditions:   
    1. The voucher is valid for 12 (twelve) months from date of issue
    2. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
    3. The voucher cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
    4. The voucher will not expire until the full value is redeemed or date after three years after the date of issue, whichever occurs first.
    5. The voucher may be transferred to an existing or new Shoprite Checkers Gift Card.
    6. Consumers cannot draw cash from their card and it will be closed on the expiry date & the value remaining in the card will not be refunded to the Consumer. We may choose to revoke the Consumer’s card at any time.
    7. The bearer of the gift card will be deemed to be the bona fide owner of such card.
    8. The voucher can be used at any Shoprite or Checkers nationwide.
    9. The Consumer Protection Act legislates a validity period of three years for gift cards and vouchers. Only the person whose signature is on the card can use it. The Consumer signs their card in ink as soon as you receive it. The Consumers card must be cut in half once the funds have been spent or after the expiry date. Consumers will not be sent any correspondence or statements. We will always be the owner of the card. We reserve the right to limit the number of cards you may purchase.

 

  1. Consumers will not be able to use the card and voucher to purchase goods or services over the telephone or Internet.

 

  1. When the Consumer uses their voucher they must sign a transaction slip. When the Consumers uses their card and voucher, we will process the transaction against their available card balance.

 

  1. No warranties, purchase protection, insurance, other promises or services are provided. Once the Consumer has paid, they cannot stop payment of the transaction. Consumers are responsible for keeping track of the transactions on their card. The Card will not have a PIN.

 

SPORTSMAN WAREHOUSE VOUCHER

 

  1. The voucher entitles the Consumer to a Sportsman Warehouse voucher to the maximum value of R100 and/or R200, with the following conditions:            
    1. The voucher is valid for 12 (twelve) months from date of issue.
    2. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
    3. The remaining value of the voucher will stay on the voucher until redeemed.
    4. No cash balance will be given as change.
    5. The voucher value will remain until the balance is either depleted or the expiry date is reached, whichever occurs first.
    6. The voucher cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
    7. The voucher is redeemable only for merchandise an services at Sportsman Warehouse.
    8. To redeem the voucher, the Consumer will be required to present the voucher to the cashier at the time of purchase and indicate the value to be applied.
    9. If the value of the purchase is more than the value of the voucher the Consumer will be required to pay in the difference.

 

TAKEALOT.COM

  1. The voucher entitles the Consumer to a Takealot.com voucher to the maximum value of R100 and/or R200, with the following conditions:            
    1. The voucher is valid for 12 (twelve) months from date of issue.
    2. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash or credit.
    3. The remaining value of the voucher will stay on the voucher until redeemed.
    4. No cash balance will be given as change.
    5. The voucher value will remain until the balance is either depleted or the expiry date is reached, whichever occurs first.
    6. The voucher cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
    7. To redeem the voucher, the Consumer will be required to go to www.takealot.com and/or the Takealot.com application and apply the voucher to the Consumer’s account.
